Happy Father's Day Arthur

Word: Father
Happy Fathers Day to my Father-in-Law, these are some words that I think describes that man that he is. He has always treated me well , love you Dad.

This is a picture of Dennis being held by his Father getting his first hair by Dennis's grandfather Clifford. As you can see by below the tradition carried on with my sons JD and Jared. Check out the wall paper in the background!

Father's Day

I am the wind
I am the rain
I am the sunlight
through your window pane

I am the leaf
turning brown in the fall
I am the faintest whisper
on the breeze when you call
I am the snowflake
that kisses your cheek

I am the child in the park
playing hide 'n' go seek
I'm the scent of the flowers
that fills the spring air

I'm all around you
I'm every where
I'll always be with you
from this moment on
In your every dance
your every song

You see when we move on
we never truly die
We become one with nature
we unify

Take care my precious one
on my passing don't dwell
Remember the love
we shared together
See you again someday,
All is well

A Change Of Address

A Change of Address
(Joye)

Just in case
you've wondered
why my emails
have been few.

I've been busy
packing
for the big move.

Not taking a lot
with me
wont need much
you'll see.

Packing
sweet
memories
in my
suitcase
is all
I'll ever need.

So if you get
a hankering
and want
to talk with me,
is the place that
I will be.

Sue has posted a great tribute to Joye hop on over to read about this great lady.

Wit ,Wisdom And A Little Spunk

Those are some words that I would use to describe my Great Aunt Joye, I have just found out that she has passed. I will miss her funny stories and her beautiful blue eyes.

My thoughts turn to her four children at this time who have taken such good care of her. You were all a great example.
We went to visit her over Memorial weekend, she was full of life and stories still hoping to make it to the Senior citizens center one more time to play cards.
You will truly be missed.

This shirt was on an email that I received from Joye, it cracked me up because I really think this was her motto to live by.

sLoW aS MolAsSes

Seems like it is taking FOREVER getting this office done. Made some progress got the closet door done and also backed the entrance door with metal *thinkin* I need to break up the shinny stuff some how on the smaller door. Some fabric choices for window coverings then I need to bite the bullet and get the office furniture picked out !

Bread Ducks and Quackers

Aunt Sue had her grand-daughter Sloan today and I had Haddie so we decided to meet at the park. I picked up my Mom on the way and Sue brought all her stale bread so the girls could feed the ducks. It took a lot of convincing to get Sloan off the swings she LOVES to swing to a point I was getting motion sickness watching her. It was fun getting the little distant cousins together for the day.

Old screen door

Got this old door from a garage sell up in Morgan one day fell in love with it brought it home. The summer door has bumble bees and a little chair with summer greenery.

For fall Kacy drew a scarecrow up for me and I enlarged it and appliqued it onto a background. I love his quirky smile and his boots that were made out of an old army blanket.

The Christmas Angel is applique also, the detail on her wings I fused on and the stars above her head represent my grandchildren that I had at this time.

I used the door for Kacy's wedding using her colors and we hung her wedding photos on it. And at this time it is sitting down in my sewing room. I took off all the old screen material and replaced it with chicken wire it now holds some of my sewing gadgets. Lots of ways to use old door when ever I look at this old door I think of the sound it would make when the old springs would be stretched then slammed shut.
