Should have been cleaning,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

But instead I got one of those wild hairs again thought I would make up a sign to go over to the property to put on the fence. I had some old barn wood out in the garage that was calling to me , telling me to put the laundry down and forget about clean underwear.

I have this little green cupboard that is a little dark on the top shelves at this point I did not want to drill into it to put a light fixture in, so I took some foam core and scrap book paper and made a new backing for it not to crazy about it, next time I will do it differently but it did lighten it up a little, then I found a little battery operated light at the hardware store that sticks to the top of the cupboard that will really lighten it up even more, now what to fill it with.

Five Years Old !

We all partied at the new BoonDocks that has just opened in our town. What great fun everyone had there were members of the family that even were brave enough to go out and ride in the go carts it was about 20 degrees and I bet with wind chill it was even colder. There was bowling, laser tag, arcades, good food and lots of family. Happy Birthday Evan Gunnar!

3 mUskEtEeRs

I need to give credit when credit is due. I neglected to post my sister's Janette's poem that she wrote for me though she never sent me a copy but now that I have one I will post this little tribute she honored me with. For some reason my memory is not that same as hers( I was a really sweet little girl.)
A Happy Birthday to my Sister!
When she was young, what a blister!
She would pretend she was Maye West,
To "come up & see me sometime" was her request!
With her white hair she was called "Whitey",
Although she doesn't know her lefty from her righty!
She likes to have things "Her" way,
In most cases she can't be swayed.
She is the baby of the "Spencer" clan,
Her three sisters and Mom are her favorite fans!
From that white haired little girl she grew and grew,
To a beautiful, talented women thru' and thru'!
We love you Sister with all of our hearts,
You have such an array of all your arts.
But the best of all "those" you have created,
Is the love and devotion to all those related.
Not only your husband and children galore,
But all of "Us" others we know you adore!
Here we are in all our cuteness, my cousin Leanne, my sister Denice and me with the poddle-do. Really what harm could I do?

Ode To A Pumpkin Patch

Well it is not everyday that you get a poem written just for you, I found this in my email early this morning, what memories it brings back with my dad when we first started this little patch.
Thank You Aunt Sue for thinking of me and my Dad.

*antique*in*

My cousin Leanne and I went out to a antique fair last weekend and I did not come home empty handed! I found a great piece to put in the office to use for storage and the dresser I got was one of those I could not walk away from so it came home with me to. I thought long and hard about it went through the whole show before coming back and talking to the owners of that booth, I even wrangled down the prices (that is the first time I have ever done that) but I really think I got some great things.

(sorry about the glare)

We had a great party this year with a little co-operation with the weather and a little mud , lots of food, overly-stuffed belly's and lots of fun.
Our first party we celebrated in 2003 the house was still under construction then.
How things have changed, that is Payton between Mom and Dad. Dad is gone now but Mom has followed in his foot steps to keep the tradition going . Thanks Mom and I will be over soon to clean up the mud!! Love to all my family I hope you all know what this has meant to me.

Tom's Cowboy Boots

My cousin Leeanne called me up Saturday morning the day before Uncle Tom's viewing and told me she had a pair of his boots and if I would like to do something with them. Of course ! It would be an honor and a thrill to do an arrangement for her. I asked for some out door pictures of him. Sent them off to the printer and this is what I came up with.

Sweet Memories

Sweet Memories

Where will I get
my sugar fix
now that
Uncle Tommy's gone?
Plenty of
chocolate
and laughs
to last me
the whole day long.

Oh, how I will miss
those visits
that we shared.
Warm Snicker bars
that would
melt
in my hand.
Cowboy mix
and
black licorice
too.

A candy jar of
of never-ending
sweet
memories .

Most the times when Mom and I would go visit Tom it was spur of the moment. We would be out running errands and would swing by. It would never fail that no sooner we would enter we would be offered something to eat or drink. One thing that was always on hand were Honey Buns , doughnuts or cookies. Since I had given up eating anything that was made from flour about two years ago about the only thing I would go for is the candy jar, sadly to say .
I could make a meal out of Toms confectionery delights. It became a joke that I was in need of a sugar fix and he was my supplier. Yes I am a sugar-holic. I have even passed it on to Haddie Kacy sent this to me the other day I could not help but giggle.

"Haddie, what do you want for breakfast? Waffles or cereal?

No mommy, these. (rice crispy treats)

Hadley those are sugar treats, not for breakfast.

But I wike sugar! When my gwanma comes ober, I will eat wots and wots of sugar!

And with the passing of Tom about the only three good things I can think about is that he has been reunited with everyone that has gone on before him and he is free from his pain and maybe just maybe my waistline might shrink .

In My Minds Eye

This is one of the trips that Uncle Tom & Margie took me on with Leeanne. I remember feeling very lucky that I got to go. Margie tells a story about a restaurant that we were at and what ever it was that I had ordered must of been extra hot & spicy she said she felt so bad for me when I had tears rolling down my cheeks from the burn who knows maybe I was a little homesick to. But the thing I recall is the day I got to pick out a souvenir for my Dad along with Tom's help I was so excited when we found a fishing knife that was encased in some kind of wood so if you dropped it in the water it would float, I was very impressed with it I can still see it in my minds eye the Golden Gate Bridge painted on the case. And how I could not wait to give it to my own Dad, Uncle Tom was like a second Dad to me he was full of fun and giggles. And even more I loved it when I could make him laugh.

Uncle Tom and Aunt Margie *Together Again*

This is an old post from June of 2008, we found out yesterday that my Uncle Tom has moved on. Once again I need to tell Leeanne and Garth how amazing caretakers they have been for all of their parents. It is funny to think with my memory they way it is, his is about the only phone number I have never forgot.
You will be missed.

Picture taken at Morgan city cemetery

Tom is one of my Mother's three brothers . He is closest to her in age, and I get the impression that if Tom was in trouble Mom was most likely with him. I have lots of memories with Tom, Margie and their daughter Leanne. They took me on many of their vacations which included my whining ,crying and my mean streak that they would put up with. Lots of sleep overs , laughing and playing Yahtzee. I remember Tom taking us on a car ride on some back road that included lots of crazy turns and stomach flipping dips, and at the end of the "Ride" he wanted Leanne and I to pay him for all the fun we had .
My sister and I were going around to family members getting memories for a scrapbook we were making about our Grandmother Ina Fry. We were at Toms getting his contribution to the book and there were times he was laughing so hard that his tears (and ours) were uncontrollable, I had to get a mop just to clean them up, the stories he could tell!
Mom and Tom were given the title "The Fighting Fry's " after an incident at the old Terrace ballroom in Salt Lake City in May of 1974! That day will go down in history as of one of Aunt DiAna's most memorable nights at work.
At this time Tom and Margie are facing health issues please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and also for Leanne and her husband Garth for taking such good care of them both.
Thanks for the memories,,,Whitey

A week ago I ended up in surgery to have a double hernia repair guess you could say it was unexpected went to see the Doctor about something else and ended up having this fixed instead. I have had surgery before I knew what I was in for but he warned me it would be a little more painful than my prior surgery's. Boy was he right, never have I been more fearful to cough or sneeze than ever before. Ended up spending the time camping out in my Mom's big electric recliner chair that will bring you to a standing position which was a blessing for me. I think I about wore the little remote out. Kacy and Wesley also spent the first night with me , so I got to enjoy some midnight feeding sessions with them, Kari pitched in by taking care of Hadley. So a *Big Thank You * to the women in my life. I went over early this morning to meet up with my exercise group and ended up walking (slow) for about 25 minutes I guess that was a good start for now.

I came across this site recently and fell in love with her art work. Her name is Annette Lavallee
