Collector of Dust

Among my dust collection one of my favorites are my toasters. How many toasters does one girl need.. well at first I thought I would only need four, one for each of my children. That way when I kick the bucket they could have something fun to remember me by. Well as the years went buy the collection remained at four until one day I found the cutest toaster I had ever seen and I brought it home and placed it on the cupboard, when my son Jared came home and seen the new toaster he immediately thought I was announcing that I was pregnant, sorta like having a bun in the oven he figured it was bread in a toaster! After that my collection has grown. Most people when they enter my kitchen and see them have no idea what they are, it is fun to take them down blow the dust off and show them how they work.

So your fave is the one I found you on our little antiQuing trip up in Idaho, RIGHT?! I know it was probably the 'cheapest' ones, since I was with you when you paid more than the trip to IDAHO on another one at an estate sale. What a SUCKER!

I can't decide which one I want. The 4th in the top pict, the middle in the middle picture, but you will have enough for all your grandkids plus one? Kari, get busy...

EVERY time I make toast at our house I close my eyes and sniff the toasting aroma and remember clearly Grandma's "tent" toaster and how her toast always smelled so good. She had one just like one of yours and we always had to flap down the sides and turn the pieces of bread around to toast evenly. They always say that aroma is the sharpest memory retriever, and I believe it. Your collection is priceless.

I still remember the first time payton noticed them and asked " why does grandma have so many music players" she was upset cause she couldn't hear anything.
