“Remember to be gentle with yourself and others. We are all children of chance and none can say why some fields will blossom while others lay brown beneath the August sun. Care for those around you. Look past your differences. Their dreams are no less than yours, their choices no more easily made. And give, give in any way you can, of whatever you posses. To give is to love. To withhold is to wither. Care less for your harvest than for how it is shared and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.”

This is a beautiful thought-and you are surely one that gives to those around you...your talents, your service, your love.
Loved this!
The picture of the field of pumpkins reminded me of a talk from a young girl I heard in church this morning. She said that we are each like pumpkins in the field. God comes along and picks each one of us out of the patch. He takes us home and washes all the dirt off of us. He then takes out all the yucky stuff from inside us and gives us a happy face. Then He puts into us a candle so that we can shine to the world. Great analogy to add to your picture.
Wonderful quote and picture! Always love your entries......
