A Daughters Love

When I started blogging I never thought in a million years I would become friends with people from other parts of the world. I became acquainted with Yvonne and her blog called Stitch & Travel through a quilting blog that we both visit. I guess you could say we have been pen pals for a while. She is from the Netherlands, but loves to come to the USA. She recently lost her mother and asked me if I could do something with a picture she had taken of her holding onto her mothers hand shortly before she died. I told her I would love to try so along came a picture and a poem to go with it. So for this Mother's Day I thought it would be a nice tribute to the mothers and daughters out there that love and support each other in times of need.

Happy Mother's Day .

Train

I have tried since seven this morning to get this to load talk about frustration .

Golden Girls Go Wild

That's what happens when you get three old gals which consisted of my Mom , Sue and I together for a little road trip. First mistake not paying attention to what exit we should have taken and all most ended up in Boise which resulted in back tracking a few miles more or less. Then not listening closely to one of the park rangers when getting directions to a little ghost town which ended up driving down dirt road for twenty miles only to hit a *No Trespassing* sign resulting in back tracking once again a few miles more or less. So we never it the ghost town because our bellies were empty and our bladders full so home ward bound we went. Note to self... next time pack a lunch, some Depends or toilet paper and get some kind of GPS system.

Topaz

Topaz is a new editing program I have been trying to learn how to use. I am amazed of all the things it can do to make pictures pop. It has been fun to go back through my old pictures to see what I can do with them.

Salt Lake City east side

Had the opportunity yesterday taking my mother-in-law to some of her doctor appointments. The medical clinic is up in an old area that has lots of beautiful old homes and churches that I need to get back to and take more pictures of.
At the time I was out taking pictures I had no idea of the devastation that was happening in Alabama prayers and thoughts go out to the area that has been hit. This blog has a video clip that shows just how powerful this tornado was.
