She is still moo-vin an groo-vin !
Yes ladies that is her natural hair color her sisters and daughters are all grayer than her can you believe it? Eighty years old and just barely a touch of gray. Today is the official birthday of my mom we will be celebrating on Saturday with lots of family and friends. My sister Ina is in the air right now flying in from Wisconsin. Will post more about this birthday bash after the party.
One day when Kacy and I were at Moms helping her around the house Kacy noticed this little picture on the fridge and I mean little about the size of a business card. She could see initials in the corner of it so she asked Mom about it. Mom told her about one day when she was complaining (just a little) to my Dad that he never brought her flowers any more, so he drew up this little picture to make her happy. So here you are Mom a little bouquet of flowers for you on our birthday! Love you.

Most Wanted
On Monday Kacy wanted to take pictures of the girls for Hadley's fourth birthday that was coming up. She had this cute idea of building a fort and calling it the FOUR-T. Well the weather and the two little girls did not want to co-operate. The wind decided to kick up it heels which made for runny noses, eyes and playing havoc with the fort. Let alone the fact that Hadley has learned how to tease and maybe torment Wesley just a little?
Hadley soon became bored with the whole process so I told her if she want I would let her take her own pictures so I gave her the remote to my camera and let her have at it, once she caught on to how it worked she took her own pictures and really they turned out to be the best.
And next week we celebrate my Mom's Birthday!

In The Beginning part one , then came part two.
When we started this project I never would have guessed it would have taken this long we could have built a new house by now! Talk about slackers. We now have wood floors acclimating and soon will be installed and one more paint color has been picked out (YEA) It is Burnt Carmel it will be on the book cases on each side of the fire place. We still need to find some old beams so if any one out there as some big old beams laying around that you would like to get rid of let me know would love to come and get them.

Look what the Wind blew in!
Last week we got hit with one of our famous *East Wind Storms*. Our little county has a reputation when it comes to these little wind bursts you can almost predict when you are going to get hit, we get a heavy cloud that lays down on top of the mountains that does not budge. It can flip semi truck trailers over and snap big power polls. I remember when I was young and we had a power outage due to one of these wind storms. We spent the day at my grandmother's house with a blanket up to the openings of her kitchen to help keep it warmer and maybe even help shield us from windows that may be broken. With her gas stove cranked up and the oven door opened providing us with heat.
So it was during the last one that I noticed this little hawk out back hanging around while the trees were swaying to and fro. I had a little motion sickness kick in while trying to focus on him with the winds blowing me around and him at the same time. I have a feeling he knows I have over fed all my little birds to much and they are looking mighty plump and delicious.
Can hardly wait for the warmth of the sun to come.
