Last night Dennis and I along with my son Kyle his wife and three daughters went to the open house at the Syracuse fire department. This is really a nice facility. But what makes it really special is that Kyle was the superintendent for this structure. Not only was he in charge of the project but he has become friends with some of the fireman and have gone on to join them in other fun activities from cattle round ups to entering into a wild horse rodeo contest for which they won second place and display the trophy at the fire station in a display cabinet. It really makes us as parents proud when you see all the fireman all come up to Kyle and shake his hand for a job well done. I am very very proud of him!
And a big thank you for all our fireman, paramedics and police force for the risks they take for us.
So as you look at the firefighter with his rake, hose or axe,
His beet red face or ice covered mustache,
You should know why he goes through that smoky front door,
And is forced to crawl like a baby down on the floor.
He does it to save both lives and property,
All that is precious to you and to me.
So take a good look at this modern warrior who serves his call proud and true,
And know that he would die just to save me and you.

Hi Whitey,
Thank you for that tribute.
My nephew is a firefighter in New Jersey. We should all think of them more often and help them out when we can.
Hugs, Euphoria
I can so see this picture hanging in their entry way as a tribute. Way to go Kyle on job well done!
That is such a nice station! It's kind of cool to see the environment Adam will someday work in.
Like father, like son. It is nice to see such a standing tribute to your son's skills as this firehouse. It is almost like a canvas that he should sign down in the corner.
Wish I had known about this - we only live in Syracuse! I'm with the others in saying the photo with the verse should be posted in the building! Beautiful ediface - GREAT job Kyle and Krew! One day, you may be able to make up a book of all the wonderful projects that your men have supervised...along with the awards they've received as well. GO FORBUSH!
It was a job well done!! Very proud of him and all the hard work that was put into this building. These pictures are wonderful!!!! When did you go out and take them?
