In My Minds Eye

This is one of the trips that Uncle Tom & Margie took me on with Leeanne. I remember feeling very lucky that I got to go. Margie tells a story about a restaurant that we were at and what ever it was that I had ordered must of been extra hot & spicy she said she felt so bad for me when I had tears rolling down my cheeks from the burn who knows maybe I was a little homesick to. But the thing I recall is the day I got to pick out a souvenir for my Dad along with Tom's help I was so excited when we found a fishing knife that was encased in some kind of wood so if you dropped it in the water it would float, I was very impressed with it I can still see it in my minds eye the Golden Gate Bridge painted on the case. And how I could not wait to give it to my own Dad, Uncle Tom was like a second Dad to me he was full of fun and giggles. And even more I loved it when I could make him laugh.

In neither picture, do you look like you're having a great time! I so glad that you were able to spend time with them - Leanne needed a sister, and you were about the closest thing to it she could have! You did get yourselves into a lot of mischief as I remember tho. Tom was always a great sport, and tried to show everyone a good time - if not activity, then good food and lots of laughs. We will miss him, but I would trade the experience he's having right now with all our family in Heaven in a NY minute!

I always loved to be around Uncle Tommy! He will never be forgotten and I am glad that we had a chance to see him quite a few times in the last year. What a great man he was!

I love seeing these pictures... They tell more stories! I did not realize how much time you spent with them when you were a young girl. What priceless times!

Why is all I see in old pictures of you is your grandkids. Kyliegh mostly in these ones. Great memories, would love to know what your Dad thought of the knife.

Leanne was very fortunate in having Tom and Margie for her parents. She loved them so much and they treasured her completely. Only good memories surround us when we think of Uncle Tom. Bless him for his example of unconditional love.
