pUmpKiN-PiC-iN pArTy 2009
We had a great party this year with a little co-operation with the weather and a little mud , lots of food, overly-stuffed belly's and lots of fun.
Our first party we celebrated in 2003 the house was still under construction then.
How things have changed, that is Payton between Mom and Dad. Dad is gone now but Mom has followed in his foot steps to keep the tradition going . Thanks Mom and I will be over soon to clean up the mud!! Love to all my family I hope you all know what this has meant to me.

Tom's Cowboy Boots
My cousin Leeanne called me up Saturday morning the day before Uncle Tom's viewing and told me she had a pair of his boots and if I would like to do something with them. Of course ! It would be an honor and a thrill to do an arrangement for her. I asked for some out door pictures of him. Sent them off to the printer and this is what I came up with.

Sweet Memories
Sweet Memories
Where will I get
my sugar fix
now that
Uncle Tommy's gone?
Plenty of
chocolate
and laughs
to last me
the whole day long.
Oh, how I will miss
those visits
that we shared.
Warm Snicker bars
that would
melt
in my hand.
Cowboy mix
and
black licorice
too.
A candy jar of
of never-ending
sweet
memories .
Most the times when Mom and I would go visit Tom it was spur of the moment. We would be out running errands and would swing by. It would never fail that no sooner we would enter we would be offered something to eat or drink. One thing that was always on hand were Honey Buns , doughnuts or cookies. Since I had given up eating anything that was made from flour about two years ago about the only thing I would go for is the candy jar, sadly to say .
I could make a meal out of Toms confectionery delights. It became a joke that I was in need of a sugar fix and he was my supplier. Yes I am a sugar-holic. I have even passed it on to Haddie Kacy sent this to me the other day I could not help but giggle.
"Haddie, what do you want for breakfast? Waffles or cereal?
No mommy, these. (rice crispy treats)
Hadley those are sugar treats, not for breakfast.
But I wike sugar! When my gwanma comes ober, I will eat wots and wots of sugar!
And with the passing of Tom about the only three good things I can think about is that he has been reunited with everyone that has gone on before him and he is free from his pain and maybe just maybe my waistline might shrink .

In My Minds Eye
This is one of the trips that Uncle Tom & Margie took me on with Leeanne. I remember feeling very lucky that I got to go. Margie tells a story about a restaurant that we were at and what ever it was that I had ordered must of been extra hot & spicy she said she felt so bad for me when I had tears rolling down my cheeks from the burn who knows maybe I was a little homesick to. But the thing I recall is the day I got to pick out a souvenir for my Dad along with Tom's help I was so excited when we found a fishing knife that was encased in some kind of wood so if you dropped it in the water it would float, I was very impressed with it I can still see it in my minds eye the Golden Gate Bridge painted on the case. And how I could not wait to give it to my own Dad, Uncle Tom was like a second Dad to me he was full of fun and giggles. And even more I loved it when I could make him laugh.

Uncle Tom and Aunt Margie *Together Again*
This is an old post from June of 2008, we found out yesterday that my Uncle Tom has moved on. Once again I need to tell Leeanne and Garth how amazing caretakers they have been for all of their parents. It is funny to think with my memory they way it is, his is about the only phone number I have never forgot.
You will be missed.

Tom is one of my Mother's three brothers . He is closest to her in age, and I get the impression that if Tom was in trouble Mom was most likely with him. I have lots of memories with Tom, Margie and their daughter Leanne. They took me on many of their vacations which included my whining ,crying and my mean streak that they would put up with. Lots of sleep overs , laughing and playing Yahtzee. I remember Tom taking us on a car ride on some back road that included lots of crazy turns and stomach flipping dips, and at the end of the "Ride" he wanted Leanne and I to pay him for all the fun we had .
My sister and I were going around to family members getting memories for a scrapbook we were making about our Grandmother Ina Fry. We were at Toms getting his contribution to the book and there were times he was laughing so hard that his tears (and ours) were uncontrollable, I had to get a mop just to clean them up, the stories he could tell!
Mom and Tom were given the title "The Fighting Fry's " after an incident at the old Terrace ballroom in Salt Lake City in May of 1974! That day will go down in history as of one of Aunt DiAna's most memorable nights at work.
At this time Tom and Margie are facing health issues please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and also for Leanne and her husband Garth for taking such good care of them both.
Thanks for the memories,,,Whitey

A Face without Freckles is like the Sky with no Stars
Alex
eyes of blue
some freckles to
a mischievous grin
that never ends
quizzical nature
always
questioning why
perpetual motion
that
causes commotion
contagious giggle
and
loves to be tickled
Happy Birthday Alexander Jayden!
