To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

ROTFL!!!"crabgrass in the lawn of life"..I love that! Happy birthday to the cute birthday gal!
I like that last definition of siblings by Carol Ortega. So true, so true. Happy Birthday Nettie, enjoy the good times.
I LOVE the Clara Ortega quote. It seems to be true - we remember the child we all were and the fun we had, but we have grown to appreciate the women we are and the contributions to each other that we make. Love you both and wishing Nettie a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Happy Birthday Aunt Nanna!!! Hope it is wonderful!
Thank you for the Birthday post Whitey! So far today (tonight) I don't feel any older. I found out that now that I have turned the age that I am, I can get our dogs licensed for a lifetime for only $20. Yes!
