Down By The Bay
After the big snow fall from the night before the sun popped out and warmed the earth up enough I went and picked up my Mom and we headed for Farmington Bay. We were very disappointed when we got to the second gate and it was locked. So much for our adventure getting some pictures of the eagles. On our way out I stopped at a little parking lot and could see some birds way up above me soaring. Even with my zoom I could barley make them out. But as they moved around in circles they got a little bit closer to me I could see it was a pair of eagles! Then we drove down the road to the nature center and got the pictures of these other birds up high in the sky in some man made nests. Mom brought her camera and even got out to take some pictures, we had an enjoyable afternoon and the fact that my sink was full of dirty dishes did not bother me one bit.

Five Generations

Hard to believe the baby in this picture is in Junior High! I read a quote the other day that said "Live as long as you may. The first twenty years are the longest half of your life." It truly is, time goes by so quickly to me now things that I thought had happened two years ago really happened five instead!
Wishing my second son Jared Happy Birthday today. He is the tallest one in this group.

She is still moo-vin an groo-vin !
Yes ladies that is her natural hair color her sisters and daughters are all grayer than her can you believe it? Eighty years old and just barely a touch of gray. Today is the official birthday of my mom we will be celebrating on Saturday with lots of family and friends. My sister Ina is in the air right now flying in from Wisconsin. Will post more about this birthday bash after the party.
One day when Kacy and I were at Moms helping her around the house Kacy noticed this little picture on the fridge and I mean little about the size of a business card. She could see initials in the corner of it so she asked Mom about it. Mom told her about one day when she was complaining (just a little) to my Dad that he never brought her flowers any more, so he drew up this little picture to make her happy. So here you are Mom a little bouquet of flowers for you on our birthday! Love you.
