I loved having the moon out the last few nights. It made it bright enough outside so I didn't have to go into the skunk smelling barn for a flashlight.
We diligently watched for the rising of the supermoon on Saturday evening and were not disappointed. It was humongous and bright orange. The next day in the Washington Post there was a wonderful picture of the setting sun reflecting off of the Lincoln Memorial and in the background was the huge, orange moon rising over the Memorial. It was AWESOME. I thought, "Whitey could really make an extraordinary photo out of this picture."
