wood·peck·er
any of numerous climbing birds of the family Picidae, having a hard, chisel like bill that it hammers repeatedly into wood in search of insects, stiff tail feathers to assist in climbing, and usually more or less boldly patterned plumage.
And this guy was tap-tap-tapping at my windows yesterday during the rain storm guess he just wanted in.
Been going through some old pictures and came across this one, for some reason we had these two swans that would hang out in our back yard then all of a sudden they disappeared but I enjoyed them while they were here.

Christmas 2010
This photo blanket was one of my favorites gifts this year can you guess why?
And I am now a proud owner of a pair of spurs... I have gotten through my life with out them never gave much thought about needing them but I have been told they are a part of every cowboys wardrobe. I feel sorry for the first horse I get to practise with.
Hard to believe that 37 years ago today which is Dennis's birthday ( or closer to death day has he calls them) my Dad walked me down the aisle.
I came across this picture and fell in love with it's words.

The House
The House By the Side of the Road
Sam Walter Foss
Let me live in a house by the side of the road,
Where the race of men go by -
The men who are good and the men who are bad,
As good and as bad as I.
I would not sit in the scorner's seat,
Or hurl the cynic's ban;
Let me live in a house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
I see from my house by the side of the road,
By the side of the highway of life,
The men who press with the ardor of hope,
The men who are faint with the strife.
But I turn not away from their smiles nor their tears -
Both parts of an infinite plan;
Let me live in my house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
I know there are brook-gladdened meadows ahead
And mountains of wearisome height;
And the road passes on through the long afternoon
And stretches away to the night.
But still I rejoice when the travelers rejoice,
And weep with the strangers that moan,
Nor live in my house by the side of the road
Like a man who dwells alone.
Let me live in my house by the side of the road
Where the race of men go by -
They are good, they are bad, they are weak, they are strong,
Wise, foolish - so am I.
Then why should I sit in the scorner's seat
Or hurl the cynic's ban?
Let me live in my house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.

Sing..Dance..and Jump..Jump...Jump....
Paige had her little dance recital and Hadley joined gymnastics for the first time so we got to go see her routine before their Christmas break. But one of the funniest ones was Wesley, in the gym they had these big overhead heaters that when they blew in her face her expressions were so comical to say the least.
